                  A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO. 3,
                  CONTRACT NO. P-1-95, BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT
                  RESURFACING, WITH VULCAN MATERIALS COMPANY,
                  WHICH CHANGE ORDER INCREASES THE CONTRACT
                  AMOUNT BY THIRTEEN THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED
                  ELEVEN AND 48/100 DOLLARS ($13,311.48),  MORE
                  PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, FOR A REVISED
                  TOTAL OF TWO MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED EIGHT
                  THOUSAND, THREE HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE AND 51/100
                  DOLLARS ($2,408,335.51) WITHOUT PRIOR

       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized
       Change Order No. 3, Contract No. P-1-95, Bituminous Pavement
       Resurfacing, with Vulcan Materials Company, which change order
       increases the contract by the amount of $13,311.48 for paving 
done
       for the Lookout Valley ballfield parking lot for the Parks and
       Recreation Department, for a revised total contract amount of
       $2,408,335.51.
